Thyme Lemonade [project #162]

While stressed out one summer’s day I happened upon the idea of herb infused lemonade. Since it’s done with tea and such lemonade seems like a good idea too. I think I might try using other herbs after this batch because I was so extremely satisfied with this one!

Thyme Lemonade: Total Time: 20 minutes: Active Time: 5 minutes: Makes 8 cups


  • 1 bunch thyme
  • 1 ½ c. sugar
  • 1 ½ c. water
  • 2 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 c. ice cold water
  • Ice


  1. Add sugar, water and thyme to a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool and then strain the syrup into an ice filled pitcher. Stir in the ice-cold water and lemon juice. Serve over ice with thyme sprigs and lemon slices.
